Body Piercing Aftercare
Make sure you wash your hands before touching your piercing. You will need to wash your piercing once daily for two weeks using antibacterial soap. Wet the piercing, wait about a minute, lather soap in your hands and wash the piercing. Rinse. (DO NOT play with it, don't let anyone else play with it, playing with your piercing can cause irritation and or infection and will prolong your healing time and possibly cause it to reject...) Don't touch it unless you are cleaning it, Try not to bump it on anything during the healing process, be careful with clothes and such... if the piercing has any noticeable redness or irritation you may use one pinch of sea salt (IT HAS TO BE SEA SALT) in one cup of warm water. Apply this with a paper towel, q-tip or directly with the cup. Hold for about five minutes. You can do this a few times a day, but you don't want to over clean it. 4-6 weeks before it can be changed, if you need help with that call for an appointment.
If you have any questions, call or visit the artist that did your piercing! Improper care can result in the need for medical attention due to infection, such as severe pain and/or fever. Referring to us before contacting a doctor, in most cases, can clear things up easily. There is no such thing as a dumb question. DO NOT ask any of your friends regardless of how many tattoos they have... they don't know!!!
